The opening ceremony featured remarks from several distinguished guests:
Polycarp Dlamini (PLE) expressed his appreciation for the exemplary conduct demonstrated by participants and the public in previous years and requested that the same level of respect be upheld throughout the current season. He also highlighted the encouraging emergence of young praise singers as new participants in the tournament’s cultural segment.
SMVAF’s Representative, Sam Mzileni, conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Fund for its role as the main sponsor. He took the opportunity to encourage the public to exercise caution on the roads and to adhere to all road safety measures.
Prince Bonginkosi Dlamini, speaking on behalf of the Culture Committee, emphasized that the tournament is a season to celebrate and showcase cultural talent. He echoed the call for all emaSwati to prioritize road safety during this exciting period.
PLE CEO Pat Vilakati, expressed his gratitude for the effective collaboration among all working committees. He specifically acknowledged the continuous guidance provided by Prince Hlangabeza throughout the tournament’s planning and execution. Vilakati further encouraged all football and cultural teams to prepare thoroughly and extended his best wishes to everyone involved for a successful tournament.
