The Mhlambanyatsi constituency will be a hive of activity this Saturday as the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVAF) will be conducting their public education exercise.
The constituencies Member of Parliament (MP) who also doubles as the Speaker of Parliament Petros Mavimbela, urged his constituents to come in their numbers to learn more about what the organisation has to offer to potential victims of road accidents.
The Speaker highlighted the impetus of such exercises stating that an informed nation is one in which every one in ten of its citizens were aware of what organisations such as the SMVAF had to offer for the natives of that particular country.
“Road accidents affect every one of us as we all use transport to go about our daily lives. Therefore, I humbly request the citizens of Mhlambanyatsi to come out in their numbers and learn about the products and services offered by the fund to members of the public as the knowledge gained on the day will be beneficial to them and their families with regards to what to do in the event of any future accidents that might befall them,” he said.
SMVAF Corporate Communications Manager Makhosi Magongo echoed the Speaker’s sentiments saying that the entire event was dedicated to the people of Mhlambanyatsi.
“We shall be bringing our mobile office to the constituency so active claimants who may want to check progress on their claim will be able to do so. We shall also be assisting accident victims who wish to open a file with the fund and we remind them to come with a copy of their police report to ascertain that an accident did indeed occur,” he said.
Apart from the Fund, other stakeholders such as the Road Safety Council and the Royal Eswatini Police shall also be in attendance.
The public education exercise will start at 10am and this will be the fourth constituency visited by the Fund since September after Ngudzeni, Dvokodwveni and Madlangempisi Inkhundla.
