SMVAF Reaffirms Commitment to Claimants with Over 1,000 Settlements in 2025/26
May 21, 2026This document outlines the approved medical tariffs applicable to healthcare services, providing a standardized framework to guide billing, reimbursement and compensation practices for medico-legal examination, and treatment and rehabilitation of accident victims. The tariffs have been developed to promote transparency, fairness, and consistency across healthcare providers while ensuring that quality care remains accessible and sustainable. They cover a wide range of services, including consultations, examinations, procedures, and related medical interventions, and are aligned with current regulatory requirements and economic considerations.
These tariffs will be implemented effective from the 1st January 2026 and reviewed annually in line with medical inflation to reflect changes in healthcare costs, policy developments, and advancements in medical practice. As such bills already submitted and processed will be revised particularly in instances where the service provider is made worse off by this tariff structure.
The SMVAF will create a platform for annual tariff review discussions and contribution by healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders in the betterment of this document. All users are encouraged to adhere to these tariffs to support an efficient, equitable, and accountable healthcare system.
NB: These tariffs are not applicable to government facilities and mission hospitals that provide these services.
